Kathy McAdory
Assistant Clinical Professor
Kathy McAdory is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Auburn University College of Nursing, where she teaches Professional Community and Public Health Nursing and Clinical Prevention and Population Health in the traditional BSN and RN-BSN programs. Her teaching focuses on preparing undergraduate nursing students to address population health challenges through community engagement, health promotion, and health literacy. Her clinical background includes critical care, acute dialysis nursing, and serving as a travel nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing care in hospitals across the Southeast. She served as nurse administrator for Auburn City Schools, supporting the health and safety of students and staff across the district. Her scholarship focuses on innovative teaching strategies in community and public health nursing which strengthen connections between clinical practice and community health outcomes. She earned her ADN from Southern Union State Community College, and her BSN and MSN in Nursing Education from Auburn University. She is a proud member of the National League for Nursing, the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators, the National Association of School Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
