Carlie Hunt

Assistant Clinical Professor
Carlie Hunt received her BSN degree from Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing in 2015 and her MSN Nurse Educator from Auburn University College of Nursing (AUCON) in 2022. She has worked in the adult inpatient setting the past 8 years, with experience in cardiovascular, medical-surgical, and stroke care at Emory University Hospital (Atlanta, GA) and Baptist Medical Center (Montgomery, AL). Carlie has 4 years of academia experience in various roles in the classroom, clinical, lab, and simulation settings. She is passionate about helping students understand and apply classroom knowledge to the clinical setting. Carlie joined Auburn College of Nursing as full-time faculty in July of 2024. Her duties include teaching in the Clinical Judgment 1 and Health Assessment courses, serving on the Evaluation Committee and the Admission Council. She is married and has two rescue dogs that love to play. Carlie enjoys playing soccer, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities in her free time. She is thrilled to bring her passion for teaching and clinical experience to AUCON!
