Chin-Yen Lin
Assistant Professor
Dr. Lin received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Kentucky and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing, Research and Interventions for Cardiovascular Health. During her post-doctoral training, she managed research initiatives and delivered interventions to patients and caregivers affected by heart diseases. Her area of research focuses on symptom management, self-care, cognitive impairment, and cardiovascular outcomes in patients with heart failure. Recent projects include: (1) using functional magnetic resonance imaging to examine insula activity and related brain regions in relation to symptom perception and care-seeking decisions among patients with heart failure; and (2) delivering a chair-yoga intervention to improve cognitive function in patients with heart failure.
